World of Jamharun !

Jambhrun is a tiny village just 20 kms away from Ratnagiri city on a way from Ratnagiri to Ganapati Pule. It is located adjacent to Post Kotawade – (a weekly bazar place) in Ratnagiri district. Once you cross village Partawane a serpentine road hidden in all the shades of green leads you to a village Jambhrun.

The small drive would be like a curtain raiser of a picturesque opera you may enjoy during your stay at “Jambhrun Cottages”.

Surrounded by sahyadri ranges, Jambhrun is settled amidst the lush green paddy fields, covered with the umbrella of moist forest along with the greenery of mango, cashew nuts, kokam, beetlenut and coconut plantation. Here, melody of the curving river tunes with the twitters of the birds and life harmonized with the nature.

Jambhrun upholds its pristine beauty with all modern world amenities available at its doorstep. The known history of Jambhrun dates back to the era of Shivaji Maharaj. Jambhrun stands exemplary for how a good town planning could be and also depicts a traditional Social strata of a typical Indian village.

This place has historical, cultural and natural value. The temples, the bridges on the river, the pathways, the irrigation system, the habitats of the natives of the village – all reflect the traditional wisdom of our ancestors. The festivals celebrated in the village and customs followed by the villagers symbolize our rich culture.
