A road to Jambhrun Cottages goes through Jambhrun village. While experiencing the heavenly beauty of the undisturbed nature en route, one wonders what to expect next … At the end of a tar road, a 100 mtr Red Soil(motorable) pathway will lead you to the “World of Jambhrun Cottages!”

Once you enter the premises you would literally be Out Of This World. You will receive a simple –yet warm welcoming by the singing birds.

On the backdrop of Serene surrounding you will see the step layered structure constructed in local ‘jambha’ stone, walls made of the mud , neat and clean cowdung- washed flooring. When you reach the river hidden in the thick foliage, flowing just few steps away from the cottages , you will feel like a treasure-trove in your hand.

This Resort imparts special importance to the village area for its aesthetic value.

The property itself spreads over 10 acres; out of which 4 acres of land is baron/rocky and 6 acres is cultivated land. And the main facility covers 1 acre (approx.) 20 years back this property with a small house built on it was like any other piece of land normally found in the interior part of Kokan region.

We foresaw the need of sustainable development to conserve the natural resources necessary to provide for the needs of future generations of life on the planet.Keeping in mind the issues relating to local economy, social goodwill and various environmental factors we decided to develop this property and open up this place for general public by way of ecotourism.

Accommodation

While constructing the eco-care resort we have used conservative material such as mud, cowdung,dried grass and locally available stone and have tried to use minimum steel and cement. The eco-friendly technique has helped us maintain high standards of quality, strength and economy and has enabled us to contribute towards protecting the Mother Earth.

Here, you will find a unique Blend of traditional style and modern comfort. We believe in serving and satisfying you at our best with simple- warmth & hospitality.

We have a cottage with home stay ambiance which provide you 2 semi deluxe (Non AC) double rooms which are sufficiently specious. Each room has a simple decor, calm ambiance and is equipped with essential utilities Each double bed room can accommodate 3 extra persons with total capacity of 5 persons each. Relaxing by just sitting out in the adjacent verandah of 5 X 40 ft is an experience in itself.

The open court yard in front of the cottages would remind you of your childhood days. This area can be used for playing with pebbles, and games like ring tennis, skipping, musical chair etc. We have one traditional Konkani house with one bedroom and a common hall to use as a dormitory for a small group of 8-10 people. For a large group of travelers Home stay arrangement in the village houses can be made.
