Joyous Pre-Monsoon
In Pre-monsoon period the fireflies heralds our arrival. The trees are lit up by these winged jewels. They light up the night skies like green glitter scattered on trees. To be a part of this gorgeous phenomena of nature is a delightful experience.

Wet Monsoon
During the monsoon this place comes alive with calls of birds like the Malabar Whistling Thrush, White-rumped Shama, and the elusive Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher. During this time the place is blooming with monsoon flowers and is filled with life seen only during this short period.

Explosion of Colours
It is really a treat for the nature lover; as one can see flowers like Balsam, Smithia, sitechi asav, sitechi veni etc…. and many more varieties on the trail. Trailing through different ecosystems is a real joy and an education in itself.

Konkan region preserves grand tradition of festivals and village rituals. Some of the Main Festivals celebrated in the Konkan area are: Diwali, Dassera, Gudhi Padwa, Ganesh Chaturthi, Narali Poornima, Holi, Nag Panchami and Makar Sankranti.

Shimga (Holi) is one of the popular festivals in Maharashtra, especially in konkan. It is celebrated on full moon day of Marathi Month of Phalgun which usually comes in the month of March. Dancing with Palkhi is a ritual at the time of Shimga (holi) festival. In the village Jambrun the celebration begins with Holi Pournima and lasts for 9 days. The villagers here celebrate Holi with God in a Palkhi and bring it to everyone’s house so that they together can pray for the wellbeing of the families. People decorate their houses with paintings and also make various floral designs on the entrance of their homes. Here people celebrate this festival in such a fervor and belief that GOD arrives at our own house

Ganesh Festival celebrations are completely different from the ones we see in cities like Pune & Mumbai. In villages all across Konkan, communities come together to welcome and celebrate the arrival of their most loved and revered god - Ganesh. In the village jambhrun Ganesh Festival is celebrated in a n eco friendly manner. Most of the idols are being made of shadu / soil (no plaster of paris or such artificial material). After festival is over we say good bye to bappa and send him to his next journey in near lake or river. Visarjan (Immerssion) of Ganesh idols in the river is an experience one should have in Jambrun. We introduce you to such activities while being performed as per the schedule of the village.

We also occasionally organize activities like bhajans (traditional devotional songs ), dashavtar khela at different local festivals
